Some 30 million catalogues will be produced by Polestar over the next two years for leading multi-channel retailer The Cotswold Company, under the terms of a new contract signed between the two companies. This new contract also represents a higher pagination and a larger format for the catalogue.

Polestar has printed The Cotswold Company catalogue since December 2000, when the company was persuaded to take advantage of the Group's online press stitching facilities and switch production from web offset to gravure. The catalogues are now printed, stitched and inkjet coded inline at Polestar Varnicoat on the company's TR6.

Ian Vaughan, managing director and founding shareholder of The Cotswold Company says:

"The contract has been extended largely because the print production quality, delivery and customer service have been of a high standard."

The Cotswold Company launched its first catalogue in 1997 and has seen sales rise to £11.6 million in 2001. The multi-channel retailer now has three stores, with plans to open more this year. Over 20 per cent of its sales come from its website.
