We believe that an excellent company is by definition a safe and healthy company. Since we are committed to excellence overall, and health and safety is an essential element within the overall business plan it follows that minimising risks to people, plant and products is also inseparable from all other company objectives.

It is the stated policy objective in Polestar’s human resources manual to ensure that the health, safety and welfare of all its employees is protected to the best possible degree by the implementation, management and monitoring of practices and procedures designed to achieve that objective.

Additionally, Polestar promotes health and safety business ethics for all who may be affected directly or indirectly by its activities. Employees are therefore required to comply with Polestar’s health and safety rules. Such measures include the safety of operations carried out by employees and contractors, product safety and precautions to minimise damage from such accidents as may nevertheless occur.

To achieve our stated objectives each operating company in the Group must have its’ own health and safety policy, encapsulated in a formal statement, a defined health and safety organisation, stated responsibilities and local arrangements compatible with managing the risks of its’ business, and have communicated this effectively to all employees. It is the local company’s primary responsibility to implement the stated corporate objectives.

All elements of this Policy are implemented through The Polestar Group’s Health and Safety Management System.
